London based Joshua Cusworth started playing trumpet at the age of 7. During his time as a Drapers Company Scholar at the Royal College of music, he studied classical trumpet with Kate Moore (Principle Trumpet BBC Concert Orchestra), Jason Evans (Principle Trumpet Philharmonia Orchestra), Mark Calder (2nd Trumpet Philharmonia Orchestra), and Dan Newell (Principle Cornet Royal Opera House), jazz trumpet with Mark Armstrong (2nd Trumpet Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra) and Martin Shaw (Jamiroquai, Sting, Natalie Cole, BBC Big Band), and baroque trumpet with Paul Sharp (Philharmonia, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, English Chamber Orchestra).
His Passion for music and virtuosity on the trumpet gave him many diverse performance opportunities; leading the RCM Jazz Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra, Baroque Orchestra, Contemporary Orchestra, Brass Ensemble and as a soloist with Symphony orchestra during his four years studying.
